This component demonstrates fetching data from TfL's air quality API'.

Disclaimer: This forecast is intended to provide information on expected pollution levels in areas of significant public exposure. It may not apply in very specific locations close to unusually strong or short-lived local sources of pollution. Source: http://londonair.org.uk/forecast

Overview Date Detail
Moderate Moderate ozone air pollution forecast valid from Wednesday 18 June to end of Wednesday 18 June GMT Plenty of sunshine throughout Wednesday with few clouds and temperatures into the high 20s by evening. It is likely we will see elevated and possibly Moderate Ozone levels at some locations. However it is not expected to be widespread with the continued Atlantic air feed.Air pollution is expected to remain 'Low' for the following pollutants:PM10 ParticulatesPM2.5 ParticulatesNitrogen DioxideSulphur Dioxide
Moderate Moderate ozone air pollution forecast valid from Thursday 19 June to end of Thursday 19 June GMT Warm and sunny on Thursday with a high pressure system firmly established over the UK. Temperatures are forecast to reach 30C by evening.Air arriving may pass close to the near continent briefly before arriving from the east, however it will have originated in the Atlantic and so is expected to be relatively 'clean'. There is likely to be poor dispersion during the day with little wind activity, allowing some build-up of local emissions. Any build-up is expected to clear by evening as a breeze picks up.Ground-level ozone is formed in the atmosphere through complex reactions between precursor pollutants such as nitrogen oxides (NO?), volatile organic compounds (VOCs), and carbon monoxide (CO), under the influence of heat and ultraviolet (UV) radiation from sunlight. As a result 'Moderate' ozone levels are expected as sunshine and high temperatures act on local pollution during the day. Air pollution is expected to remain 'Low' for the following pollutants:PM10 ParticulatesPM2.5 ParticulatesNitrogen DioxideSulphur Dioxide
